Young Creatives

The White House Young Creatives are a group of 15-25 year olds who join fortnightly to share and learn creative skills, design innovative events and work with arts professionals.

Young Creatives projects in summer 2018 have included supporting The Sofa Slam at Change Makers and The White House at Dagfest

Introducing the Young Creatives...

I’m Aislinn, a young artist, poet and cartoonist. I’m passionate about comic books
and performance poetry. I was National Slam Champion of 2018 and a World Cup

Hi, I am Jade, I am very passionate about the arts and would like to
learn about programming. I have just recently finished my fine art BA and
continue to work on film and photography.

Hi I am Jimmy and I like anime and history and I love to learn maths and English.

Hello everyone, my name is Shannon. I’m an aspiring young poet who is quite
passionate about writing TV shows, food and anime. I take part in poetry events.
My first slam was the sofa slam, which is how I became part of The White House.
I love to read and spend time with friends and family.

My name is Jacob Kai Horne. The most interesting thing I can say about myself is
that I am a musician. I would consider myself a violinist as I have played the
violin since I was nine, however my time in GCSE music made me somewhat
proficient with the keyboard. I got involved in The White House through work
experience but I also choose to take part in Dagfest separately.

Hey I am Teagan Charlene Lucas but you can call me Tegs. I am really interested
in music and song writing, most of my song writing is based on emotions and
how I feel about the world. However, I am a bookwork and love decorating and
sorting things out.
