The White House Party X Make Room 

We are launching our autumn season on Saturday 5 October and artists from our new Make Room programme are taking over the house to programme an event full of making, meeting and eating!

Come along to try something new, meet your neighbours and find out what’s happening at The White House this season. Everyone is welcome so bring your friends, family, colleagues and pets!

Drop-in to any of the workshop sessions throughout the afternoon from 2pm and then join us for an evening performance from 5:30-7pm.

We’ll be offering refreshments too, menu designed by Make Room artist, Cynthia Waithaka.

Programme:

2pm-5pm – One Room Build
Join the One Room collective for their 2nd interactive build session exploring music, collaboration and duality within furniture. Shaped through One Room’s ethos of shared learning and collaboration, this workshop is an opportunity to meet new people, connect in new ways and consider how artistic duality can exist in many forms.

They will be prototyping the One Room Property, a Modular Box from their first build session. Join and learn new skills as we decentralise our design knowledge and process. Book on Eventbrite

3.30pm-4.30pm – Crochet Chains
Collaborate and create connections in a drop-in craft session with Ravinder Rayit.

5pm-6pm – DIY Budgeting 
Share your top tips and create artwork for the DIY Budgeting zine with DIY Rabbits.

5.30pm-7pm – Jam session
One Room collective and The Take Over are hosting an open music and poetry collaboration with drinks and refreshments designed by the Make Room artists.
