The Sofa Slam is kicking off the year right this January, featuring Terry BickellGboyega Odubanjo, and Damian Gomes.
The Sofa Slam is Barking & Dagenham's first ever poetry slam. Hosted at the White House in Dagenham, the Sofa Slam follows slam tradition; bringing poetry to the people, into the home.
Come along on Saturday January 26th at 7pm to enjoy an evening of outstanding free poetry, or sign up to win a prize in the slam.
Is your new year's resolution to try a new skill? Or maybe it's to build on a skill you already have.The January Sofa Slam will be accompanied by a free poetry workshop 3:30-6:00pm for beginners and accomplished pros alike. This month's workshop will be focused on different approaches to writing and generating ideas.
