Aislinn first came to The White House in 2016 to volunteer as part of Chad McCail’s residency.
“The White House is a new kind of community arts space. People come along to learn new skills for free and it is different because it is an actual house. There is a kitchen and artists live here and it is friendly and casual. I love it. It allows a different kind of person to be in an arts space. It doesn’t talk down to people.”
“Dagenham doesn’t have a central hub so it is easy for people to feel isolated so the White House is really needed. I think it is exciting. People care and feel like they can be a part of something. It brings people in at every level… I want everyone to know about it – I want it to be so popular that it needs a loft extension!”
